Every book begins with a story, but not every story becomes a book. This is where I share the moments in between. The history that inspires me, the people who have shaped my journey, behind-the-scenes glimpses into my writing life, and reflections on the stories that deserve to be remembered. July 10, 2026 4:37 am – There was a time when I resented my sleepless nights. I criticized my insomnia and wondered why I couldn’t just sleep like everyone else.
Now I see those quiet hours differently.
They’ve become the space where my creativity comes alive.
Over the years, I started more manuscripts than I can count. Some were just ideas. Others came close to being finished. But, life, work, and responsibilities always seemed to get in the way.
When I retired, I started writing again. This time, I gave myself permission to chase every idea that found me. Whether it’s an old manuscript or a brand new project that lands on my heart, I don’t wait. I run with it.
Just last week, during one of those sleepless nights, an idea came to me for a future book. I shared it with my mom, and without hesitation she said, ” You absolutely have to write it.”
I ran my query and have started the research.
I’m incredibly grateful that God has blessed me with the ability, the curiosity, and the determination to do this work. I know some people wonder how I’m able to keep writing one book after another.
The only answer I have is this…
Ask God.
Because I know where my ideas come from. I know where my desire comes from. I know where my stamina, my drive, my talent, and my passion come from.
None of it is by accident, and none of it belongs to me; I know Who deserves the credit.
